Oldest Southeastern Antique Farm Equipment Show Celebrates 45 Years

Zolfo Springs, FLPioneer Park Days, the oldest annual antique tractor, steam engine, and farm equipment show in the southeast, celebrates its 45th Anniversary this year!  This spectacular event is also one of the largest of its kind, and is held on the grounds of a sprawling 105-acre park owned by Hardee County.  The 2013 Annual Pioneer Park Days runs for 5 days: February 27 – March 3, 2013.

In addition to over 400 tractors, hit and miss steam engines and farm equipment exhibits dating as far back as the 1920’s, visitors can browse a massive flea market area with 491 booths offering a variety of goods for sale from old tools to arts and crafts.

Other attractions include the Florida Frontiersmen who give daily demonstrations of pioneer living, including Dutch- oven cooking, wood burning, basket weaving, wood making, quilt-making, and other activities from the 1800’s era.

Visitors can also tour the Cracker Trail Museum, watch a civil war reenactment, see over 50 antique car exhibits, enjoy delicious concessions, as well as stay in the park camping area.  Live entertainment such as country and bluegrass music, and clogging groups are part of the daily schedule.

While all the activities at Pioneer Park Days are fun and educational for the whole family, there are also pony rides, an animal refuge, a daily tractor parade, and other entertainment just for children.
